The “cheap” villas are a luxury for the Moldavians

(ASIS) – The real estate market of houses and villas, either for rent or sale, has exploded. The prices have doubled as compares to last year and Iasi has become the most expensive county in Moldavia, according to the real estate agents.

The old houses are not more accessible either, reaching prices of 130.000 euros if located within the town. In the rural area, one can still buy an old house for 200-600 million and those who buy it consider first of all the land they are built on, which usually includes vineyards and orchards. Such a house is seen as a business, because those who live in Iasi and can afford it, prefer to have trees in their yards, as close to the town as possible. “I have just seen a house in Bosia, which the owner wants to sell for 45.000euros. It is a regular house where one could live in. There are little old houses left for sale in Iasi and the customers are not willing to move too far. We even have villas of 500.000 euros for sale, located in the centre of the town. In Pacurari, however, a villa can get to 150.000 euros and on Smardan Street, an old house, built on 350 square meters, was sold for 130.000 euros” Eliza Neamtu, real estate counsellor within the Fidelia Casa real estate, told us.
